Upcoming Cosmic Tiger charity compilation spreads love through music
The 15 track album unites eclectic artists from across Asia while raising funds for good causes
Words by Rocco Universal
It’s been a strange but busy period here at Cosmic Tiger over the last few months. Bangkok, where we’re based, has been under some form of lockdown measures for most of this year. With no gigs on the horizon, attention has necessarily turned to paid writing work to help keep the wolf from the door. As such, things have gone a little quiet here in terms of reviews and interviews.
The CT fires are still burning brightly, however, and we’ve been busily formulating our debut various artist compilation, ‘Messages volume one’. The 15-track album features incredible producers from all over Asia, including established creators alongside burgeoning and lesser-known talents. Musically, it spans genres from super-chilled Balearic to disco, neo-soul-techno, deep house to chug. All profits generated from sales will be donated to charities in Thailand and Indonesia that are helping those worst affected by the recent lockdowns.
The release is scheduled for November 19, and more news will be forthcoming over the coming weeks. In the meantime, you take a look at the tracklist below:
